Use of Conference Rooms

The Library’s conference rooms are available for use by the Northeast State community as well as local businesses and organizations. Off-campus users may be assessed a fee depending upon the nature of the meeting and whether certain types of equipment and/or a technician’s services are required. This fee will be determined by the Vice President of Administrative Services.


  1. Requests for use of the conference rooms are made through the office of the secretary for the Library, the Dean of the Library, or a Library staff member.
  2. When taking requests, Library staff should ask for the following information:
    1. Name of person responsible for the meeting
    2. Title and Date of meeting
    3. Start Time and End Time of meeting
    4. If they require any special equipment.
  3. If the requesting group is not affiliated with the college, they must must secure an Application for Use of Facilities Form from the office of Administrative Services and complete/return it to that office. [NeSCC 03:09:04]
  4. If the meeting time lasts longer than the Library’s hours of operation, tell the requestor that everyone should exit through the downstairs entrance.
  5. Notify the Campus Police Department.
  6. Requests are handled on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to on- campus requests.
  7. Library conference rooms may not be used for classes on an on-going basis.
  8. In order to accommodate the volume of requests by various outside organizations community use of the conference rooms is limited to meetings on a quarterly basis only (four times per year).
  9. Food is permitted in both conference rooms (L106 & L226).
