Turabian Citation Style Guide 9th Edition: B. Web Page No Author

About Citing Websites

For each type of source in this guide, the general form and specific examples will be provided for both the Notes-Bibliography and the Author-Date style options of Turabian.

This information and several of the examples were drawn from A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations (9th edition). Numbers in parentheses refer to specific pages in the manual.

Getting Help - The Writing Center

Web Page No Author

When using the Notes-Bibliography style, if no author information is provided for a website and a formal bibliography entry is desired, list the source under the title of the website or the name of the owner/sponsor (p. 194).

 

For Author-Date style, a website citation can often be limited to a mention in the text ("As of July 27, 2012, Google's Privacy Policy as been update to include..."). However, if a formal citation is desired and no author information is provided, use the examples below (p. 261).
