The Power of Family: Types of Families and Family Development
Traditional, single-parent, blended, extended: there are many ways to define a family. This video examines different types of families and the roles they play in the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and moral development of their members. Additional topics include stresses on the family structure and the “changing seasons” of the family cycle. Viewable/printable educational resources are available online. (23 minutes)
