Access Opposing Viewpoints

About

Search for information on a variety of social issues by using the thousands of viewpoint articles and topic overviews, full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles from national and international sources, primary source documents, court cases, biographies and profiles, statistics, images, videos, podcasts, audio files, and links to evaluated websites.

 

Basic Search

 

  • Your results will be sorted by Type: Viewpoints, academic journals, primary sources, statistics, images, videos, audio, news, magazines, reference, websites
  • Clicking on a content type above a box will get you to more documents of that type.
  • You can filter your results by date published, subject, document type, or by searching within the list of results.  You can also limit to peer-reviewed journal articles.

 

Browse Issues - Recommended

  • Selecting the Browse Issues icon will take you to an extensive list of topics. 
  • You can use the drop-down menu at the top to narrow the topics by subject, or you can scroll though the alphabetical list.
  • Selecting a topic will take you to a page that gives an overview of the issue and links to documents related to the topic.
  • The list in the On This Page Box will take you to those sections on the page.
  • Clicking on the content type at the top of a box will take you to a list of the documents of that type.
