Evaluating Sources Using Lateral Reading

 

Now that you have learned about basic source evaluation, we are going to go a step further and look at a technique called lateral reading, which looks at who is behind the information being presented.  Lateral reading is using the Internet to look for information about the website you are looking at and the people who write the content.
